| I was hanging out w/ "the boys" (well, most of "the boys" anyway...Danny, Simbo and Ray) this past week in Vegas (woo hoo!) and realized that my once stellar memory has been sagging as of late and thought that maybe blogging to jot down what's been going on might help...so here I am back at Xanga...
I'm a bit out of practice, so this post might read kind of like stream of randomness...sorry.
So, we came up with the idea to go to Vegas because:
- We missed a X-mas -> NYE Vancouver trip w/ Aaron due to not being able to purchase reasonably priced airfare in time (passport issues).
- Easy/cheap to get to.
- Interesting fun.
We were at Vegas from Wednesday to Friday this past week and it was a load of fun. Met up with Andy and his co-worker who were both working a Halloween Costume fashion shoot for KAC. Haven't been there w/ the boys in a long time and I realized how different these Vegas trips are depending on who you go with....and I'll leave the description of the differences there due to post length and "What happens in Vegas..." haha.
But yes...was a really nice getaway with lots of food, great time w/ the boys and my first time at a Dunkin Donuts! Btw, they have great coffee, donuts, AND awesome AWESOME tater tots! Nothing like Winchell's which I mistakenly thought the quality would compare to. Too bad they don't have any in California...
Also, cooked some new stuff lately...
Late X-Mas Dinner for the Fam: Horseradish and Garlic Crusted Prime Rib Roast Lobster Risotto
I failed/was too lazy to grab pictures...next time though, I promise.
Next up, Gnocchi w/ Creamy Tomato-Porcini Sauce

| time to reinvent my 20's!
it'll be fun.
edit: eh...maybe not reinvent...I've done that enough times...more like, reassert my 20's edit #2: after a midweek happy hour during thanksgiving week, I've realized why I don't live like my early 20's anymore... :hurl: |
